In the wake of Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity (2013/2014), a new generation awoke ready to build a better society based, not on narrow self-interest, but on universal values and shared social responsibility.
Inspired by Bohdan Hawrylyshyn’s Charter of Human Responsibilities, four years later we asked the youth who took to the streets what principles they live by today to contribute to the ongoing transformation of their country.
Some of their principles are captured below.
Through this campaign we hope to demonstrate how ordinary people are taking responsibility for their lives and the community around them thereby redefining their nation and inspire others to do the same.
We don’t need bigger governments. We need bigger citizens taking a larger role in the development and transformation of their communities.
