Collaboration is necessary to prosper. This is one of BSC’s core principles. But how do you actually bring together 23 municipalities to support regional economic development? How do you then go on to coordinate, plan, and advocate for investment for that development?
With one simple, clear vision.
The Southwest Economic Alliance (SWEA) is a collaborative regional economic development organization that boasts a unique partnership of local governments, educational institutions, the broader public sector and the private sector.
Together BSC and SWEA created a regional branding strategy. The result of this collaborative effort was the promotion of key initiatives, positioning statements, a Messaging Matrix, and localized communications plans for 13 communities.
As part of this project BSC trained 30 Community Engagement Coordinators teaching them the value of regional economic development. Providing the trainers with specific tools and tactics to educate their citizens and communities.
